I’m Clay, a designer and full-stack engineer. I build websites and platforms for brands whose direction I like, with a soft spot for small businesses and startups.

My path here was not a straight line. I studied mathematics, taught middle school, and did graphic design and video work before I wrote software for a living. Each one shows up in how I work: an eye for design, a habit of solving the real problem, and the patience to explain things clearly.

I grew up in the Midwest. Home now is Waialua, on Oahu’s North Shore, and I get around the islands often. I work with businesses anywhere.

Because I design and engineer, you get one person for all of it: the look, the build, the search work, and the admin or platform behind it. As big or as small as your business needs.

Most of my sites so far came from one owner telling another. I started ME Creative & Design to do that work properly.

I don’t pre-build a site and hand it over. We work on it together, so the finished thing has your voice and feels like your business. Then I stay on to look after it, because I enjoy being part of watching a brand grow.

M and E are my two sons, Maverick and Ezekiel. It is also the point of the studio: you stay in control of your own brand and your own site.
